Are you Up for a challenge?

Let's make reducing our carbon footprint fun.  This is the goal of this innovative and successful community challenge called Taming Bigfoot.  Using a locally sensitive carbon calculator, together we can learn  reduction techniques and community resources that are available to help and  create a more resilient Whidbey.

The carbon crisis is no joke  - we all know the science and have followed the dire accuracy of it's predictions, isn't it time to  just say no to being fossil fuel-ish and leave a liveable world for future generations.

Initiated by our

Whidbey Greening

 Congregations Collaborative

While having fun together we will learn about the sources and solution of carbon dioxide pollution.  We'll inspire and motivate each-other, equipping us to speak about climate change with friends and family.  This will lead to thinking about our total carbon foot print in addition to our toe print. (Who knows, we might even spark an island wide initiative for Whidbey to become carbon neutral by 2030).

Next events - Monthly meetings at 7pm at Trinity Lutheran, Grigware Hall (the older bldg closest to the highway)
